Soccer poster photoshop tutorial

Category : Designing, Photoshop tutorials · by Jul 6th, 2011

In this photoshop tutorial we are going to create a simple soccer poster using tehniques like photo blending.

Step 1.

Start of with a new document sized 1000×1000. Fill it with a light blue and add some clouds using a clouds brush. I choosed mine from Qbrushes

On a new layer use a normal brush to colour the whole image. I used two colours. You can use more colours.

Set blending mode to Colour.

Step 2.

Create a new layer, download a grunge brush. Again I got mine from Qbrushes . With a black colour start brushing:

Keep brushing randomly but in a circle like I did below:

Step 3.

Let`s add some soccer to it.

I searched on the internet for some stock images so I found SXC.HU where I wrote soccer and got lot`s and lot`s of photos.

Here are the photos I used:

Step 4.

Let`s open the first photo:

Use the Magic Wand Tool to erase the background of it and set blending mode to Vivid Light:

Add the ball image. Same tehnique.

Add the kid with the ball photo. This might look tricky but the Magic Wand Tool will do the job again. Only that you will need to clear the leftovers with a erase brush.

On the image with the kid let`s change the Hue/Saturation. Go to Image-Adjustments-Hue/Saturation and use the following settings:

This is what you should achieve also with the stadium photo added:

Step 5.

Add the stadium and use a soft eraser to erase the parts to blend in with the black grunge circle.

Also add your text and you are done.
