Thursday Classic – Create a hosting template

This classic photoshop template tutorial shows you how to create a hosting template starting from scratch. Step 1. Start of with a new document sized 900×700 filled with black. Create a new layer and using the rectangle marquee tool create a shape like below and fill it with a gray colour. Step 2. On the just created layer go to Layer styles and add a Pattern overlay with the settings below: Create another new layer and using the rectangle marquee tool and a light blue colour create a shape like below under the textured layer: Over this layer create another one and with the same rectangle marquee tool create one shape that is half the blue one and another very thin line under it just like in the picture below using a white colour. Then reduce opacity to around 80%. On your layers panel on top you should have this white rectangles layer and underneath the light blue one. Select the top layer and press CTRL+E to merge the layer togheter with the blue one. Step 3. On this fresh merged layer add a drop shadow with the settings below: Step 4. Optional step. Add your text. Add a drop shadow to the text with the settings below: Step 5. Go under the light blue rectangle layer and create a new layer and using the same rectangle marquee tool create a shape like below and fill it with a darker blue: Step 6. On another new layer again using the rectangle tool create a shape like below with a ligher blue: Let`s add some effects on it grab the dodge tool dodge the bottom a little then create another layer and create some random white shapes and lower their opacity: Add a stroke to the layer created in first phase of step 6 and the text on the banner. I hope you understood the steps. From here you should finish the template with your own designs.
