Hello everyone, as we are not ashamed of our past we decided starting today to have a new website section on PSDartist called “Thursday Classic” . Here we will submit on every thursday an old photoshop tutorial created around 2002-2005. Don`t be harsh on the comments, as we want with these tutorials to create a showcase of design evolution..
Start of with a new document 300×300 pixels with a purple background. Then create a new layer, and using the rounded rectangle tool create a shape like below using a darker gray colour.
Using the rectangle marquee tool create a selection like below:
Grab the burn tool with the settings below and start brushing over the selection:
Brush more on the left part:
Then grab the dodge tool, remove the selection and start brushing the part that was unselected.
Now add the following layer styles to the layer:
This is what you should have:
Now let`s split the buttons apart. Grab the Single Row Marquee tool:
Create a selection then Ctrl+X. Repeat the steps untill finished:
